Feature of the Day
Rest, Ice, Elevation and Compression - Purposeful Pain Pressure
Tammy injured her knee so bad that she needed surgery. It’s been a long and painful road to recovery but she is a fitness professional and does everything for herself that she asks her clients to do. Her good knee swelled the other day and when we discussed it I recommended something that has worked very great for my husband and I!

The Legal Stuff First: AllLifeSkills.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn commission fees by advertising and linking to Amazon. Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change.
Now, The Real Story:
For years, I resisted adding affiliate links to this site. I didn't want to be "that blogger" pushing products. This space has always been about genuine guidance through life's challenges using my Step Stones methodology - helping people build skills across seven key areas: Emotional, Physical, Intellectual, Social, Occupational, Financial, and Environmental well-being.
So What Changed?
My son is studying at the University of Amsterdam. Every trip to see him requires resources. I realized that the products I already recommend to friends, clients, and in my GrowthShop experiences could serve a dual purpose: help you find tools that actually work while supporting my ability to continue this work (and visit my kiddo across the ocean).
My Promise to You:
I only share tools I actually use, genuinely love, or would confidently recommend based on my experience helping thousands of people navigate life transitions. If I recommend a weighted blanket for emotional regulation or a specific journal for reflection, it's because I've seen it work - often in my own journey through empty nest transitions, grief, and building a business that honors both profit and purpose.
The Life Imagineer Approach:
I think of product recommendations like a Disney Imagineer thinks of ride elements - they're part of an EXPERIENCE, not the experience itself. The snuffle mat doesn't fix your dog's anxiety; your patient, consistent training does. The meditation cushion doesn't create inner peace; your daily practice does. But the right tools? They make the journey smoother.
How I Choose What to Recommend:
- Experience First: I use it, my family & friends use it, or my clients have reported genuine results
- Step Stones Alignment: Does this tool support one of the seven wellness areas?
- Sensory Consideration: Does it engage the senses in helpful ways? (I'm all about that sensory regulation!)
- Value Match: Would I spend my own money on this?
- Joy Factor: Does it bring delight, ease, or genuine improvement to daily life?
What I Will NOT Do:
- Recommend products just because they have high commission rates
- Create fake urgency ("Buy NOW!")
- Stuff posts with affiliate links/ads/pop-ups
- Recommend things I haven't personally vetted
- Let sales goals override genuine helpfulness
The Bottom Line:
If you purchase through my links, Amazon pays me a small commission at no extra cost to you. This income directly supports my ability to create free content, develop new GrowthShop experiences, and yes - visit my brilliant son who's studying and adventuring in Europe.
Your trust matters more than any commission. If something I recommend doesn't work for you, please respectfully tell me so I can remove it, things change after all. We're all learning and growing together.
